A vampire and a Confederate veteran of the Civil War. He was turned into a vampire against his will by Lorena. Bill is the investigator for one of the vampiric districts under Eric's supervision. He becomes Sookie's first romantic interest. Stephen Moyer portrays vampire Bill Compton in HBO's television series True Blood. He further discovers that he is related to the Bellefleurs and in the show he is a procurer for queen Sophie Anne of Louisiana and in the books he develops a Vampire data base of all the Vampires of North America and beyond. Bill is depicted as someone who tried to conform to his maker’s wishes in the show but was unable to, thus burdening him further with a heavy conscience.
He has a Vampire sibling named Judith Valdamon.
